I am a Game Design Major looking forward to making impactful and creative games. While I am not on any teams for FUSE this year, I occupy myself by developing my skills with personal game projects. My greatest skill lies with coding, but I have also been working on my artistic skills in order to create art assets for these games I create.
My passion truly lies in creative works; there is hardly a day that goes by where I don't do at least a little writing. World building and creating characters is one of my favorite activities. Of course, applying those concepts to games is pretty darn fun as well. Offering and developing concepts can be one of my favorite roles in the planning phase of design.
At this point in my life, I spend a lot of my time teaching myself many different concepts with online courses, as well as the classes I am taking at Bradley. Learning new ways to tackle challenges is always interesting and fun to me. In any new project, I look forward to the fact that I will have learned something new and become a better game designer by the end of it.
Speluminator is a game inspired by old-school classics such as Metroid, The Legend of Zelda, and Castlevania. The player takes the role of Lux, an explorer armed with nothing but a lantern and a sword in a maze-like dungeon filled with traps, puzzles, and of course enemies to fight. This is concept art for the game, a quick snapshot of the dungeon's initial design.
Knight Fight is a game made for mobile devices. Gameplay is simple, tap to the beat to make your attacks and defenses stronger. Miss too many notes and you're out of luck. This is a planned environment for the game. This simple, colorful art style is meant to portray the general tone of the game.
When you run accidentally open a magic book with the power to summon infinite monsters, there's not much you can do. Especially when you're a wizard's apprentice who has only mastered the teleport and fireball spells. Even so, it's up to you to defend your home from wave after wave of deadly monsters This is an in-development game from fall of 2018. While ultimately scrapped in favor of another, I hope to revisit the concept some day.
