Angry Video Game Girl

Angry Video Game Girl

This character was so grumpy and cute that I had to draw and animate her! One of her little video-game themed buttons is a nod to Starcats, a game for which I composed the soundtrack. Taking advantage of social media’s looping feature, I wrote a little tune to accompany her angry gaming. This feisty little animation was fun to make. Don’t mess with her GameBoy!

Lanajay Challenge

Lanajay Challenge

From what I can tell, this was one of the most popular #drawthisinyourstyle challenges on Instagram. I used a couple of my own custom brushes in Photoshop to bring it to life. While it’s a still image and not animated, this stunning piece reflects the direction I would like to explore as I move forward with my illustrations.

Southwest Magic

Southwest Magic

I drew this animated illustration in Photoshop for Instagram. This #drawthisinyourstyle challenge inspired me to draw details, textures and colors like never before. Even the creator of the piece it was based on was thrilled! It’s one of my favorite pieces and I look forward to drawing more just like it in the future.

The Senior Animation Capstone is the final project for animation students and a culmination of their years studying software and various animation techniques. Each student makes their own animated short, which may be hand-drawn, digitally animated, or designed in 3D. From concept sketches to the silver screen, these students have brought their imaginations to life over two semesters of hard work and preparation. FUSE is the only chance you may have to view these epic films on the big screen, so be sure to grab a seat and enjoy!
Nebula is an interactive educational experience that is developed for the touchscreen monitor. Individual players create, design, and decorate their very own personal planets. From colossal Terra planet, to dynamically artistic Gas Giants, the player is welcome to express their inner creativity and show who they are. To begin, the player will first choose the type of planet they want to create, Terra Planet, or Gas Giant. In creating the Terra Planet, they will be able to paint a variety of biomes such as grass, snow and bodies of water onto their planet, as well as an assortment of mountains and trees that take their own unique form depending on the biome they are placed in. With Gas Giants, the player can express their unique creativity in an assortment of bright, expressive colors and patterns which are all in lively dynamic motion. Last but certainly not least is the scientific and educational elements to the experience. After the player finishes their very own planet, they will see fun educational facts about their creation. Nebula fuses fun and educational science with an astronomical amount of creativity.
