About Me

I am a Game Design Major from Joliet, Illinois who would like nothing more in life than to re-cure polio, but barring that I'd like to work alongside respected members of the industry in designing interesting and fun games. I've loved the medium of video games pretty much since I was old enough to walk, and my fascination with the unique opportunities that the dimension of interactivity presents. Beyond simply playing them, though, I get a profound enjoyment out of designing and building the kinds of experiences that I enjoy in games, and that, more than anything, is why I want to design games for a living. Well, that and the gambling debts. When I'm not designing or playing games, though, I usually enjoy watching video essays on those subjects, and others such as movies, animation, and history (I am, in fact, getting a minor in it). I also enjoy lifting weights, listening to podcasts, playing my bass guitar, performing improv, and generally making my friends laugh whenever I can. I'm a very sociable person, and I can (and will) work with all kinds of diverse people and help them all share a singular vision for a project. I have made around eight games already, and I can't wait to make some more!

*Unnamed Shooter Game*

*Unnamed Shooter Game*

I am currently solo-designing a platformer-shooter in my free time at Bradley University. I plan on finishing it by the end of summer break. I hope to include mechanics involving telekinetic powers, where the player can carry objects by clicking and dragging the mouse to move them around.

Sarcophagus Scuffle

Sarcophagus Scuffle

I was the sole creator and designer of the dice game "Sarcophagus Scuffle". It was developed in September of 2018. It has players taking the role of treacherous grave robbers who have just stumbled upon the treasure room of the Crypt of King Wut. Players must roll dice in order to collect gold, steal gold from others, and (hopefully) escape the treasure room before it fills with quicksand.

Orbital Bombardment

Orbital Bombardment

I worked in a four-man team as the lead animator and artist on this top-down shooter in November of 2018. It was made using Unity's 2D game engine. It has the player take the role of a mining ship in an asteroid belt, tasked with defeating Magma Core, the evil asteroid, in the hopes of obtaining his precious mineral deposits. Players rotate around Magma Core to avoid its many attacks, and to reach his hidden weak points to deal extra damage.

Apocalicious: A Recipe for Disaster is a minigame monster creator filled with magic and mayhem. Save the world from the fiery clutches of the spicy boss, a pepper heck-bent on setting the world ablaze. Stir wild concoctions, bake weapons of sugar, and watch your monsters stand up against spicy evil!
