Kenzie Lindgren
UI/UX Anticipated Graduation Date: May 2021
About Me
Hello everyone! My name is Kenzie Lindgren, and I am a Junior User Experience Design major with a minor in Game Design. I am from the small town of Clifton, Illinois and went to Central High School. After high school, I attended Kankakee Community College where I graduated with an Associates of Arts in May 2018. I knew from a young age that I wanted to be in the gaming industry. The game Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness, made me fall in love with the story, characters, and atmosphere. Ever since, my dream has been to work in the game industry writing narrative for games, and now UI/UX is part of that dream.
I am the User Experience Design Lead for Nebula, where I sat for hours coming up with the different interactions and controls for the experience. I also spent time with the Lead and Vice/Dev Lead in meetings making sure the game is balanced, helping with team organization, and meeting with David Abzug and the museum to stay up to date on the progress of Nebula.
When Iām not doing anything relating to the department, my interests include hanging out with friends, archery, watching YouTube and Netflix, and of course playing video games. Some of my favorite video games include the reboot Tomb Raider franchise, Animal Crossing, Pokemon, Super Smash Bros, Stardew Valley, and many more.
Featured Projects
Swineceror
I was the Artist and UI/UX Designer for the the project. Swineceror is a 2-D, bullet hell shooter where the player would have to use the 4 elements (Earth, Air, Water, and Fire) to defeat 3 waves of enemies.
Fletchin' Awesome Archery
I was the creator and designer for this app. Fletchin' Awesome Archery was created to be an extensive archery guide for beginners and instructors to teach Archery safety, equipment, bow parts, and shooting stances. The goal was to work entirely offline so those in rural areas could access it from anywhere.
