"Game's are what movies were to books...the next step forward." This is my personal mantra, it is and the reason that I pursue this career. My name is Zach Abbott, and I'm a game designer from the south suburbs of Chicago. Some of my major accomplishments within the field include having one of my papers accepted to the 2016 Meaningful Play Conference, winning third place in the iThrive Empathy Challenge for my game Dark is the Night, and finally having co-created Dark is the Night with Arwen Boyer and Joshua Estill. Dark is the Night is currently being published by APE Games and is expected to be ready for purchase August 2017. In the future, I hope to be a level/content designer for Blizzard Entertainment and/or other fantasy/sci-fi based AAA studios.
I was one of the co-Designers of Dark is the Night. The game is technically still under works, but being published by APE Games.
I co-designed Goldilocks with Arwen Boyer and was the only programmer throughout development. The game is meant to peak interest in space and show how rare it is to have a habitable planet.
