About Me

My name is Skyler Madigan, and I'm a Freshman Game Design major at Bradley University. My hometown is in Southern California, but I decided on Bradley because of its famous Game Design program.
Since I was six years old, gaming has been an important part of my life. It has helped me expand my imagination, make friends, and ultimately find a career that suits my particular interests and talents.
My ambitions as a game designer focus on the game narrative. The games that I find most enjoyable are the ones that tell a deep, complex story and immerse the player in a world entirely its own. However, I have not yet decided on which aspect of game design I enjoy most and prefer to think of myself as well-rounded.
My passion lies in worlds of fantasy fiction. My favorite game titles include Skyrim and The Legend of Zelda, among many others. Nintendo has been my inspiration since childhood, and my dream is to one day make a game of equal caliber to their most popular titles.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing fictional stories, and spending time with my friends, family, and four small dogs. Living so far from home has taught me to be independent and self-advocated in a way that living at home never would have allowed, and it expanded my view of the world.
While I am not yet actively seeking jobs or internships, I would jump at the opportunity. I want to get as much experience as I can while I'm here!

Treasure Trove (Animation)

I was the only artist, animator, writer, and sound designer for this animation. The artwork was created in Adobe Illustrator, and animation was done in Adobe AfterEffects. All artwork was designed using a mouse. The project was completed in December 2017 in conjunction with the Treasure Trove game. This is the first time I have completed a full animation with sound and original artwork.
