I am an Interactive Media major with a concentration in Animation and Visual Effects at Bradley University. I am also a minor in Studio Art.
I knew since I was young that I wanted a career that utilized my artistic skills. While I was still figuring out my life goals as a child, my ambition started to diminish as I learned how difficult supporting oneself would be with a job in fine arts. Animation and film has always been a fascinating topic for me. As a result, I decided in high school to work to become an animator.
At the moment, I am learning how to make high quality animation and assets. I have learned plenty through the courses the Interactive Media program offers. Learning additional tips and tricks on my own as well as from my peers has made me a stronger animator too. Of course, the feedback from both faculty and students on my work is incredibly helpful as well.
In the near future, I hope to find more opportunities such as internships and jobs that will showcase just about everything I have learned in the animation process. Only through experience and continuous hard work will I find such opportunities and, in turn, improve my skills to take on much bigger projects and responsibilities.
This project is the dinnerware assignment for a 3D animation course last semester. I modeled in Cinema 4D and used Photoshop to enhance the render. The idea for this project was to figure out the tools and get comfortable with creating complex forms from primitive shapes. I had fun creating this despite the simplicity.
This project is the toy assignment for a 3D animation course last semester. I modeled in Cinema 4D and used Photoshop to enhance the render. The idea for this project was to work with a physical reference and recreate it in the modeling software. I also utilized the knowledge I gained about sculpting in my own project. I am very pleased with the sculpting in the ceramic bear I made.
