Ramiro Tovar Animation
Anticipated Graduation Date: May 2019

About Me

Ramiro Tovar is a sophomore with a Animation Major and Studio Art Minor. With refined skills in practical and digital art and a talent and natural interest in telling stories, he's chosen the path of animation and entertainment that few others also take.

Ramiro comes from the town of Lake Villa which is located in northern Illinois. Since childhood he always loved watching cartoons and was fascinated by the idea of making drawings come to life on screen.

For a short period, he was never certain as what to do with the skills of drawing and art he mastered over the years until his sophomore year of high school. That's when he was never more certain of anything else, that his dream was to become an animator.

More than anything, Ramiro never wanted to pursue this career for money or fame, but simply for the intrinsic reward of knowing others will enjoy his work whether is a movie he worked on, video game he helped animate for or even just a piece of artwork. Some of his most notable influences were Disney Movies and the large variety of cartoons offered by Cartoon Network and Hanna-Barbera. Making people happy and inspiring them is what he wants more than anything.

Have you ever wanted to be in your own blockbuster film with special effects? The Greenscreen Experience can get you close: step in front of the green screen, where you and your friends act together in a short clip. Bradley students will then work to edit your footage, placing you in a variety of fantastical situations: hiding from dinosaurs, wielding some fire, dancing in space, and more! Select from a variety of fun props, act out your scene, and leave the rest of production to the students. Videos will be sent out via email.
