About Me

Matthew Kirchoff is a sophomore at Bradley University, but first year with the Bradley University Interactive Media department as a Game Design Major after switching majors twice. Along with pursuing minors of Computer Science, Computer Game Technology, and Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Matthew has experience in using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects and Acrobat. He has created an animation for a videogame he made called Minefall for one of his classes. Matthew has learned a lot already from his classes, even just after 1 year in the game design and computer science programs now has adept experience in programming in java, and other game engines to program the game designs he creates. He has taken an art class to improve his art assets when designing and making polished games. Along with his experience in programming, he has shown leadership and design skills that propelled his catapult team's game idea to be created and be the team's lead designer. Matthew and his Fuse team have hopes to making their Cattlepult game into an app and releasing it on mobile. Matthew has a drive to make great games, and hopes to eventually make his own gaming company after he graduates from Bradley.

Mine Fall is an endless runner type game made by Matthew Kirchoff where the player controls an elevator and must dodge falling rocks, spiders, or other obstacles to get as far down the mine shaft as possible. All while collecting gold to increase score and speed, and TNT to destroy obstacles. Made in stencyl for class IM 120, 2017.

Lead designer for the Cattlepult Fuse Team, 2018. A rough concept of the layout of the field on the screen made in illustrator. Cattlepult is a 2v2 simultaneous turn-based combat game where teams collect, feed to make larger, and then shoot cows out of a catapult at the opposing teams barns. First to destroy all barns wins.

Cattlepult is a four-player game on the the Ideum Touch Table. Cattlepult pits teams against each other in an epic barnyard battle. Players cooperate to gather cows to their pastures, fatten them up, and launch them at their opponent’s barns. Destroy the opposing side’s barns and you win! This is a fast-paced experience that combines strategy and skill with a unique brand of humor. Play for prizes and a take-home version of the game!
