About Me

Hi, I'm Kaylee Kizior. I am sophomore at Bradley University and am currently majoring in Animation with a minor in Graphic Design.

I enjoy learning any sort of artistic medium but I tend to favor digital art and acrylic paint. I occasionally do some freelance commissions mostly of digital and painted kinds. Currently my painted commissions are portraits of people's pets, while my digital work is of fictional characters and landscapes.

Besides art I enjoy a variation of activities including several sports such as soccer and martial arts.

I hope to become a concept artist after college, whether it be for a video game company or for movies and tv series.

If I don't become a concept artist I'd like to start my own art business, selling my paintings and digital work to any and everyone. Right now I do have some commission sales of my traditional paintings, which is very encouraging. I hope to get more commissions as time goes on and will soon have a website up and running from which people could order browse through my work.

Besides that I'm almost always sketching ideas for possible art pieces, and come up with more than I can make.

The Three Dogs

The Three Dogs

These three portraits were commissioned this past winter. They were ordered as gifts for the patron's spouse. Each portrait was made using acrylic paint on hard board canvas. I spent about a day on each portrait and used the dogs' photographs as references. I have also done several other portraits.

Council Hall

Council Hall

This was a digitally commissioned art piece for an online community called The Lions of the Cosmos. The piece was created on an iPad PRO with an iPencil and the Procreate app. Of all my digital artwork this piece took the longest, taking about over a year to fully complete.

Self Portrait

Self Portrait

This is a self portrait I created using graphite pencils. For this I used a combination of photo reference as well as a mirror. I found it surprisingly difficult to draw myself without over exaggerating any of my features. The piece is 24"x17" and took about two weeks to complete.
