Joe is a Senior Computer Science major from St. Louis, Missouri. He started programming in 6th grade with Game Maker's drag-and-drop and quickly moved up to GML, Game Maker's scripting language. In high school he started learning C++ and later discovered Unity and C#, following tutorials and building off community examples to make small demo projects. 2 years ago, he started playing around with Unreal Engine 4 and Blueprints. Joe hopes to one day operate his own indie game development studio where he will experience a variety of different workflows and technologies as lead programmer.
Sole programmer for a deferred renderer for Game Maker using GML and GLSL ES 2.0. Completed in 2013.
Lead programmer for a 3D visualization application for soil boring logs using Node.js, Three.js, MySQL, and Electron. Expected completion in May 2017.
