I am an animation major, who's career path was inspired by having seen multiple examples of artwork on Deviantart and by watching animated shorts. One of my most favorite animated short is The Reward created by Sun Creature Studio. They're hand drawn scenes and the anime-esque style alone drew me in, but the story and music composition caused me to stay. The animation has little to no voice acting and relies solely on sounds, with the occasional grunt or scream. The reason it inspired me to become an animator was the fact that I knew that I loved to draw and that I loved to write stories, and that made me realize that I could potentially make something that could be just as good as that animation. I love to write stories, preferably those that fall in the genres of fantasy and science-fiction. Currently attending Bradley University, I have the hopes that upon completing my years of study, that I will be able to create amazing designs and animations for various sources and work for an animation studio, and yet, my main goal and dream is to create a successful animation that will hopefully find itself amongst the ranks of other praised shorts, including the Reward.
A simple project in which I was instructed to create a self portrait, completed on May 2017, I spent around three days working on the outlining and filling of the image used. It was one of my first times using Illustrator, and thus, is a very rough final product compared to my other projects.
This was originally an assignment given to challenge my skills in graphic design. The overall project was a bit challenging, but the end results were noticeably much smoother when compares to my self portrait project. This project took me approximately four days, working for around an hour or so each day.
This was a small challenge given to create a design for any form of event and in whatever format that I pleased. I chose to create a T-shirt design for a convention, or more specifically, a gaming convention. Taking elements from multiple sources to demonstrate multiple games from both consoles and PC, creating my unique design.
