Hello! I'm Eric Robertson, a Junior Game Design student at Bradley this semester. I love designing games, but my interests and skills are spread far and wide. Aside from game design, I also have interest in sound design, music production, graphic design, and tabletop development. The Bradley Interactive Media program has been an amazing experience so far, and I've gotten the opportunity to meet and work with so many interesting, creative, and driven individuals.
This is my first year as a project lead on a Catapult Team for FUSE. It's a lot of work and coordination, but it's a ton of fun and I'm glad I get to experience the wonder of watching visions and ideas come to life as an interactive experience.
After graduating from Bradley, I hope to get a job in the media industry working with game design, sound/music, or a combination. My goal is to one day be a Creative Director leading a development team through new and original ideas and projects.
My personal interests include gaming, music, movies, gymnastics, and martial arts. I also do small graphic design projects now and again for family or friends who need help designing graphics, promotions, or branding materials.
This was a small personal project that I completed last summer as a privately commissioned design. The greatest challenge was composing the design so that the T. Rex would fit in the trike in a way that would appear natural. The client (and their coworkers) were very pleased and amused with the results, as am I.
This game was a project made for a Game Production class. Using the Unity program, we were tasked with rapidly prototyping and creating a three-level 3D game, complete with ramping difficulty and polished controls, visuals, and feel. For my project, I created a three-dimensional marble tilt-table game with three levels and hazards. Getting the physics to feel right in the game was very difficult.
This project began as a basic game concept assignment for Game Design 2 last fall, but I fell in love and knew I wanted to take it further. I have always been a huge fan of D&D and other tabletop RPGs, so I decided to try to completely design my own custom system, complete with a draft rulebook, a list of character powers, and even an introductory written campaign in the works.
