Hi my name is David Matias. I am studying to be a Game Designer/Developer at Bradley University. Growing up I have always enjoyed playing video games. When I have free time I enjoy playing games such as Destiny, Overwatch, and the Dark Souls series. When I am not playing games, I like to work on prototyping ideas and designing level layouts on paper. I have worked with multiple game engines to create a multitude of different games and experiences for users. The game engine's I am most proficient in are: Unreal Engine, Unity, and GameMaker. I have experience with C# and C++ programming, UI design, and level design. The projects that I am working on this semester include developing an mobile application for students at U.O.I to help track the conditions of their satellites in space. This project became possible through a NASA grant. In addition to this app, me and a team of 5 other students from Bradley are working on developing an augmented HUD prototype for NASA using the Microsoft HoloLens. If you find my work interesting, check out a few of my projects on this site or follow my portfolio site to keep up on all my latest projects.
This application is being developed alongside the aerospace club at the University of Illinois. The goal of this app is to help the students at U.O.I receive important data from their satellites directly to their mobile device through the app. I am helping to design and program the UI and overall functionality of the app.
10 teams from different Universities throughout the United States were selected to work with NASA on developing an augmented reality prototype for NASA's S.U.I.T.S Project. I am helping to design and program the user interface for the prototype. We are building this prototype for the Microsoft HoloLens. This is a project that my team is working on for FUSE 2018. This game is a virtual reality snowball fight that will be built for the HTC Vive headset. I helped with the sound design and game design for the enemy types. Our team plans to work on this game after the 2018 school year and eventually release a copy of the game on steam.
