Brandon Favors Game Design
Anticipated Graduation Date: May 2020

About Me

My name is Brandon Favors, an eighteen year old Freshman at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. The major that I am studying is Game Design, which I plan on pursuing completely in the future in order to do something that I have always dreamt of: being able to turn the worlds that I create in stories that I write into beautifully visible and vivid video games for all to enjoy. This has been a passion of mine for as long as I could remember, as video games are a major part of my life. I spent much of my days playing them, enjoying them, and appreciating them for what they are. As an African American male, many people in the community that I grew up in would give me odd glances when I would talk about wanting to become a game developer, saying things such as "video games are for kids" or "you should be spending your time doing other things like sports". These comments only made my desire to pursue my dreams increase to greater levels. I want to rekindle the flames of creativity in society and show people that video games are not a bad thing after all.

Featured Projects

Map of Espos

Map of Espos

This is a map that I created in Photoshop in 2016 when I was sitting around with no other work to do. The map consists of the main continents of the fantasy world that I have created in my stories, which is something that I have wanted done for awhile.

A Tale of Two Swords

A Tale of Two Swords

This is an in development RPG (Role-Playing Game) that I have created in my free time using the program RPG Maker VX Ace. This game is far from completion, but I do have a working demo available on Steam. Party member customization is a big part of this little project.

Bloopa!

Bloopa!

This is a side scrolling game that I created during my first semester of the 2016 school year for my Freshman Interactive Media courses. In this game, the player controls a small, blue, pixelated character named Bloopa as they guide him over and underneath obstacles for as long as possible.
