Hi, I'm Ben Panfil. I'm a freshman this year at Bradley majoring in Animation. I am from the tiny town of Traer, Iowa where I attended North Tama High School. I have always had an interest in animation and visual effects but didn't decide to make a career out of it until my senior year. After one semester at Bradley I am very happy with my major and my decision to come here.
My first semester was divided into two projects: an animation and a game. I am very proud of how both my projects turned out. Also I have enjoyed the experience of learning how to create things using Adobe software and further develop my skills as an artist. Other activities that I enjoy are hanging out with friends, listening to music, playing basketball, playing guitar, watching movies/TV, and playing games.
In the future I would like to get a career in some type of animation and possibly work on movies. There are also many other fields that animation is used in that would interest me such as UI/UX design and motion graphics. I hope to narrow down my career options in my remaining three years at Bradley.
My first project as a Bradley Student. I took dialogue from a scene in Pirates of the Caribbean and made it into a Western theme. Completed in 2016 using Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition, and After Effects.
My second project at Bradley was an endless runner style game. In Arctic Cleanup you control Francis the seal as he picks up the garbage in his habitat. Completed in 2016 using Photoshop, Illustrator, and Stencyl.
