Race Trek

Race Trek will offer Riverfront Museum visitors a local multiplayer game in which they can customize a spaceship and race against up to three other players. The experience will consist of tablets for each player to use and a main display on a television monitor for onlookers to observe the game. We will create the game in 2D using a cartoonish style. Players can walk up to the exhibit, pick up a tablet, and begin choosing parts for their ship that will affect both its appearance and racing capabilities. Once all players are ready, they will enter a top-down race and must navigate a track composed of asteroids. Using the touch controls on the tablets, players hold their finger on a spot to make the ship accelerate towards that position. Along the track, players must avoid collisions with asteroids, which will cause their ship to temporarily spin out of control. The first player to cross the finish line wins. These races will last about a minute or less. We plan on offering toys or other prizes for participants.

Starcats

Starcats is a 4 player, local couch co-op/competitive game made during the 2016-2017 school year. Created by the Senior Game Design class at Bradley, the game challenges players to choose their own strategy: betray their fellow players or work together to achieve a common goal. The first major venture into Game Development for many team members, Starcats has proven to prove itself as an original and refreshing take on the couch co-op genre. The game is slated for a May 2017 release for PC. More information can be found at www.starcatsgame.com.

VS Pinball

Vs Pinball is a competitive, 1-on-1 virtual pinball game on the touch table. The game features three themed boards: Arabian Nights, Celtic Tales, and Cloud Town. Each board features unique obstacles and power ups - special abilities that activate for whichever player grabs the disc first. Players on either side use virtual buttons to trigger the flippers to hurl the ball at each other. Win the game by scoring the most points before the 90-second timer runs out. All participants will receive a prize at the end of the game.

Feast Hall Frenzy

Feast Hall Frenzy is a VR experience for the HTC Vive. As soon as you put on the headset you will spend the next minute and a half as a powerful wizard. You will have free reign to destroy as much, or as little, of a magical feast hall as you like using three different spells ranging from a fire ball to a telekinesis beam. Made with 3D cartoon like voxel graphics, this experience is great for children, who are old enough to wear the headset, and adults alike.

Greenscreen

Have you ever wanted to be in your own blockbuster film with special effects? The Greenscreen Experience can get you close: step in front of the green screen, where you and your friends act together in a short clip. Bradley students will then work to edit your footage, placing you in a variety of fantastical situations: hiding from dinosaurs, wielding some fire, dancing in space, and more! Select from a variety of fun props, act out your scene, and leave the rest of production to the students. Videos will be sent out via email.

Tom’s Treasure Trove

Tom’s Treasure Trove is an interactive scavenger hunt - players use a tablet or smartphone to interact with virtual objects in real space. This augmented reality experience begins as the game’s mascot Tom the Pirate instructs the player to collect as many coins and gems as they can by roaming around the playing area. Using physical images to map 3D objects, players will search for 3D models using the device’s camera. Once found, the player may tap the object to collect it. After time is up, players return to the starting area to get their score and claim their prize.

The Dome Experience

Step into the dome to view a set of incredible visuals created by the sophomore animation students. The Peoria Riverfront Museum is well known for their incredibly accurate star map and various educational shows in their planetarium. The theatre works by using five projectors to display video on a perforated, hemisphere-shaped screen. During FUSE, there will be special showings of films made specifically for the dome by Bradley students. The films are built to be an extremely immersive experience, so this is a show that you won’t want to miss.
