Joseph Amiri is a freshman animation major from St. Louis, MO. He is most interested in visual effects, textures, and lighting. He specializes in programs such as Maya and Blender. In his free time Joseph likes to rock climb and do pyrography and wood working. His main goals for his career are to help make visual effects, textures, or lighting for movies and TV shows by being a visual effects, texturing, or lighting team lead.
“Orion and the Hare” is a short film about a Hare harnessing the power of the stars to banish a supernatural hunter endangering what they care about most. The plot is inspired by the mythology surrounding the constellations of Orion and Lepus. The film focuses on environmental storytelling and utilizes a 2D and 3D animation pipeline.
