Thomas Barling

Animation Freshman – 2026

Thomas Barling is a freshman animation major. He mainly likes to focus on animating in 2D but is not afraid of exploring in 3D a little. He is from Normal, Illinois. He is currently active in the Card Game Club and Fighting Game Club where he has met a lot of new people. His goal in the field is to increase his knowledge of animation techniques and just ways of improving his work for the future. His main goal in life is to be able to create his own animated show that could inspire others to this line of work.

Arcana Arcade as Art Team

Arcana Arcade is a physics-based, player-vs-player touchtable experience where players use their fingers to draw out symbols pertaining to spells, and then fling those spells to cast them onto the board. Players start by selecting which faction they will battle as, with each faction controlling two elements: Fire & Lightning, and Ice & Wind. These spells can be cast to: damage the opponent player, set up defenses, or create special effects. Players will try to deal as much damage during their playtime in order to defeat their opponent.
