Hi! I'm Zack Pullen, a senior game design student from the mythical, far away land called Connecticut. Throughout my years at Bradley, I've worked on many projects, ranging from small endless runners to a third person action-adventure RPG.
This year, I have held the position of Creative Director for my senior capstone project Lingering Legacy. I have worked diligently to maintain the team's and my vision/direction for the project since we were given it in August of 2019.
I am also Lead Level Designer for Lingering Legacy. I have constructed multiple large levels, each with a distinct feeling yet similar design philosophy. Along with this, I have made sure that this same design philosophy spans across all levels in the game.
As Creative Director and Lead Level Designer, I have had an immense impact on how Lingering Legacy looks today. As the senior capstone project of the year prior, We Who Linger, me and my team faced the extreme challenge of taking a game with little direction or cohesion and transforming it completely. Now, Lingering Legacy is a linear, story based third person action adventure RPG. You play as the Goddess of Knowledge's Champion to aid her in stemming the war between her two brothers, the Light and Dark Gods.
Sleeping Rogue is a 2D puzzle-platformer in which you play as a sleepy master thief, Fabian. Fabian has the ability to enter a different reality, the Dream State, when he falls asleep. You must utilize this ability to progress through the world, as the Dream State changes both the physics and structure of the world around you.
Inheritance is a short story about a small moment in a woman's life that focuses on her relationship with her estranged father. It a small scale story in which I wanted to give people a character they can fall in love with and live with for a short while. A preview of the story can be read on my portfolio.
