Hi, my name is Preston Vongphasouk, a game design major and 2D art minor. I am a Senior, which means I will be graduating in May this year.
During my time at Bradley I have learned a lot. Some of these skills I have learned include: digital painting and drawing, 3D modelling, texturing, and pixel art. I am skilled in Adobe Photoshop, Autodesk Maya, ZBrush, and Substance Painter.
I aspire to be a character concept artist one day. I have always been intrigued with building worlds and characters. Particularly, characters have always spoken to me, so designing them has always been my end goal.
My hobbies include, playing video games, watching animated films or shows, digital painting, and looking for new restaurants.
This project was a game created for Game Production 2. I was the artist on the team. I was tasked with designing the visuals, and animating each aspect of the game. Every art asset was created in Adobe Photoshop. The game itself was made in Unity. This was my first time learning how to make pixel art ever!
I am on the team Terminal Velocity, and this is our capstone project. Bottomline is a 3D combat racer set in space. As one of the artists on the team, I worked on designing, 3D modelling, and texturing the cars and the environment. I also worked on some of the VFX. The models were created in Autodesk Maya and some assets were created in ZBrush. I also used Maya to help with some of the animations. These models were textured in Substance Painter.
The Relaxed Thief
This was a project done for my Intermediate Drawing class. I designed this character around the idea of a petty thief with the ability to phase through objects. Because of his abilities, his personality is lax and arrogant, because he does not believe that he can be caught. I used this project to experiment on a different rendering style that did not rely on line art and block color shading.
