About Me

I am a senior Animation major with a minor in Studio Art. I mainly focus on character design and illustration, however, I also enjoy creating game art and animation for film. My goal is to someday become a Character Designer for film or video games, become a Lead Artist for film or video games, or to create my own animated show for kids. In years past, I have contributed to several FUSE projects, including two games, Tom's Treasure Trove in 2017 and Cheese Chase in 2018, as an artist and animator, and an animation that was presented in the DOME Planetarium in 2018. For my last and final project for the Interactive Media Department, I have been able to direct my senior film "Bloom", which features LGBT+ themes and flower symbolism throughout the film. I mainly specialize in the fantasy genre when it comes to creating art, animation, and games. In my spare time, I create short animations to be able to learn how to animate different movements and how much I am able to exaggerate them, as well as illustrations to be able to improve my artistic abilities. I will be able to graduate from Bradley University in May.

Elf Cleric

Elf Cleric

Created in January of 2020, I was able to design a new character to play as for the popular role playing game, Dungeons and Dragons. Dungeons and Dragons delves into the classic fantasy genre, in which you and your friends create your own heroes and go on a journey to fight against evil and have your characters discover themselves. This image is the first and only draft of his character design, in which I mainly experimented with the various hairstyles he would wear. His name is Azelfafage Bellatrix, or Azel for short, and is a Moon Elf Cleric in the Twilight Domain, with his chosen goddess being Selune. His personality mainly involves being a spoiled rich kid who acts all high and mighty, when in reality his knowledge does not exceed outside of the aristocrat world. His journey throughout this Dungeons and Dragons campaign is to learn about the outside world, and to realize that the aristocratic world is not as great as he once thought it was. I am excited to see what kinds of trouble he will get into on his journey. The software program I have used Clip Studio Paint EX to create his character design.

Sora (KH3)

Sora (KH3)

Created in January of 2020, this piece of artwork is of the character Sora, from the Kingdom Hearts franchise. Kingdom Hearts is a role playing game in which Sora, the main character, teams up with the Disney characters Donald and Goofy, to stop the Heartless and Organization XIII by going to various Disney and Pixar worlds (movies) like Monsters Inc., Rapunzel, and Toy Story, and saving that world from utter chaos. The Sora that is presented in this artwork is specifically from Kingdom Hearts 3, released January 25th, 2019. In this release, there is a unique world towards the end of the game, called The Final World. Here, Sora is in a coma-like state, and he has to complete the tasks given to him in order for him to wake back up. The setting of The Final World looked so beautiful to me, since there was only clouds and the sky, with the ground being a mirror. I wanted to try and recreate the scenery, as well as try out backlighting techniques to make Sora's color palette blend in more with the overall hue of the background. I have used Clip Studio Paint EX to create this piece of art.

Leon (Pokemon SWSH)

Leon (Pokemon SWSH)

Created in January of 2020, this piece of artwork is of the character Leon, from Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield. Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield released on November 15th, 2019. Leon plays the role of the Champion of Galar, meaning the strongest trainer in the game's country, and he also helps out you and your rival, Hop, on your journey throughout the game. I really love the character design Leon has, since it is so ridiculous, but I thought it would be fun to draw him while also trying out new coloring techniques. I wanted to try and see how much effort I could put into a piece and to spend time on it, which ended up resulting in 3 days worth of work. I had also wanted to try out new poses as well as having a forced perspective, and also start creating actual backgrounds for my artwork. The background on this piece of art is still simple, since it is the ground of a Pokemon arena, but I wanted to start simple and later work my way towards creating more complex backgrounds in the future. I have used Clip Studio Paint EX to create this piece of art.
