My name is Keelan Rodgers. I was born and raised in the city of Chicago and have lived there all my life. I have a passion for enhancing my skills in art and am eager to bring my artwork to life. I have been drawing ever since I was 4 years old. All the years of practice, and being influenced by my cousin, had led me down the path of wanting to pursue Animation with a desire to create artwork that had movement. I am a Sophomore attending Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois and I am majoring in Animation with a minor in Studio Art. During my time here at Bradley, I have been able to interact with many individuals through classes and the job of being an Assistant Resident Advisor. I am now a published Illustrator of two books; Shoptown Tales Vol. 1 and The Adventures of J.C. Van Winkler: Danger in Disguise. In my classes, I was able to animate drawings for the first time during my first semester and utilize more aspects from Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects throughout my time at Bradley. I now have more experience in creating traditional animation and digital animation. In the future, I look forward to making more animations and working with others to create new works of art.
Shop-town Tales Artwork
I was the artist of this project, creating this at the beginning of the year 2020. This was created in Photoshop, along with other parts of this project that will be in a future book.
Lost and Afraid
I was the only animator of this project, creating this in the fall of 2019. This was made using traditional animation, drawing on paper and animating that way. The artwork was then brought to the computer and edited with the After Effects program.
