My name is Jim Bove and I am a senior in Bradley's Game Design program that specializes in game system design and level design. During my time at Bradley, I have learned about all the different aspects of game development, including game programming, unity development, game art creation, sound design and UI/UX design. My goal is to work for a AAA or large indie game company to create the next hit video game.
This game is a rhythm game where the player must navigate back and forth between three rails, avoiding walls and destroying obstacles to gain points. If the player misses too many obstacles or hits too many walls, the player fails and must restart at the beginning of the level. I was a level designer and game designer on the project.
Universal Parcel Services
This is a sci-fi game with the goal is to collect all of the parcels and deliver them to the post office planet. Boosting and turning uses ship fuel, so the player needs to collect fuel capsules as well along the way in order to complete the deliveries. I was the 3-D modeler and game designer on this project.
Bottom Line is a sci-fi combat racing game and my senior capstone project. Working on a large team, we have developed the game through every stage of the production cycle. We started in the game conception phase and end with releasing the game on the Xbox store as a Xbox One title. Our racing game is unique in that the goal is not to place first in the race by finishing the race first, but rather by generating the most points of "Hype" by performing various movement and combat actions. I was the level designer and a game designer on this project.
