Gabriel Abernathy

About Me

I am Gabriel Abernathy, a freshman Game Design major at Bradley. I thoroughly enjoy playing and studying games. That is why I am gaining knowledge to create my own games that others can enjoy. While I may be majoring in game design, I prefer to be well-rounded, so I occasionally dabble in other mediums as well, such as music and photography.

Seattle Skyline

Seattle Skyline

Not too long before I arrived at Bradley, I went on a short trip to Seattle, Washington. I love taking pictures of scenery and this seemed like a good time to practice. This was one of the better photos I took on that trip.

Dig to Freedom

Dig to Freedom

This is a screenshot of the first game I created while attending Bradley University. "Dig to Freedom" is an endless runner game in which you dig under oncoming obstacles.

Chess Team Poster Design

Chess Team Poster Design

This is a poster design I also made during my freshman year at Bradley. This poster was for the club I spent the most time with in high school, the chess team.

Astrobees is a 2D educational experience where players learn about genetics through space bees and space flowers. In this experience players get to choose sets of two flowers that have the version of the trait they like the most. Once they are all collected they head back into their ship to breed all the genes together to create their very own unique flower through the power of genetics and punnett squares.
