Elena Bloomquist
Animation Anticipated Graduation Date: May 2022
About Me
My name is Elena, I'm a sophomore animation major w/ a minor in studio. Last year I hid all of my original project Behind Closed Doors for my freshman roll. I kinda regret not using them for my IM 120 and 110 class but it would've been difficult to implement. So last semester in my IM 240 class for 2D Animation all of them were dedicated to my 6 year long project that's almost complete. I'll probably continue to share my stories through the coming years.

GRRLS
A short and simple Illustrator piece done for the DAT challenge in September. Just wanted to show off the 3 main girls in one photo all together.
Demise :)
Our background animation for IM 240. A very unsettling ordeal for me to arrange and for my peers to witness during critique. But this is my favorite out of the 6 animations we've done simply because of how unnerving this is. I do appreciate not being censored at all during this semester or else things would be less passionate for me.
First Encounter
My final animation for IM 240, our lip sync challenge. This was a rough one for me but I'm pleased with the outcome. I think 5, 1, and 6 really captured the overall mood of the BCD grim and nasty. I also composed the opening tune in garage band. Here in this I voiced my protagonist Elizabeth being corned by a perceived threat, noticing he hasn't detained her she simply asks "Are you going to kill me?".
