Avery Krahl

About Me

Hey Everyone! My name is Avery Krahl and I'm currently a Sophomore in Animation with a Fine Arts minor. I come from a small town called Sherrard in Illinois where only corn fields can be seen surrounding our town for miles on end. I knew from a very young age that I wanted to be the person who made my favorite cartoon characters come to life on the silver screen. I spend most of my time creating digital pieces and animated shorts, as well as staying up to date with everything and anything Marvel. I try to challenge myself each day artistically by learning new techniques and animating difficult movements. I use Instagram as a platform to show my progression as an artist and a person. I'm currently in the process of creating a shop on Redbubble where I hope to sell my art and other creations. Until it's completion you can follow my Instagram @koiboilivin where I try to post daily art that I hope inspires fellow artist to try new and bold things. After four years of dedication at Bradley, I hope that one day I'll get to create art that generations will cherish for years to come.

The Pitch

The Pitch

As of this year, I recently have started a new thing on my art account on instagram where I dedicate an entire month to a "theme" that is chosen by my followers. I really wanted a way to connect with my followers and this decision proved to be an awesome one! I've connected more than ever with my followers and have built genuine connections with the art community of Instagram! This is a thumbnail on my first panel of the "Monthly Themes" pitch!

Suplex Showdown is a cooperative beat-em’-up game for the arcade cabinet in which two players must work together to suplex their way through a fast-paced, action-packed city, brought to life through vibrant visuals and retro-inspired gameplay. Choose from a selection of eccentric characters as you fight your way through the streets, museums, and arcades of Suplex Showdown!
Spell Scribe is an educational game designed to help educate players on cursive writing Players will defeat foes and progress through a magically shifting library by writing the words that appear before them. Each time the player starts the library layout will change, and new dangers will await them in the depths of the cursed building. Players will be able to acquire and scribe new words into their spell book to prepare for the dangers ahead of them. The spells known to players will be put into a deck. During combat, players will draw a hand of cards representing their spells, and each turn they will choose one card to play. The game is designed to encourage replayability, and through multiple playthroughs we hope that players would grow more familiar with individual letters and rules of cursive writing.
