About Me
Asher Coulter is a junior User Experience Design major from small-town southern Illinois. Outside of school, they work as a delivery driver and do freelance design work on the side. During their free time, they like to hike, create art, and spend time with their pets. They use many programs regularly, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Experience Design, Sketch, Figma, and other design software. For the User Experience Design program, they have worked with multiple organizations and teams on various projects ranging from the Magic Leap One to the Amazon Show. They enjoy designing websites and mobile applications the most.
Featured Projects
CAT
I worked on a team of four to design a website for Caterpillar here in Peoria. It was a part of their World Usability Day challenge. Throughout the project we worked together, presented our designs, and tested our site with real users.
MIXR
A bartending training simulator designed for the Magic Leap. I taught myself 3D modeling for this project, and made all of the models myself.
Self Portrait
For my art class this semester, we were asked to create a self portrait collage. I didn't take the project very literally, and I couldn't find pictures of anything I thought described me well enough in the magazines I had available. Instead, I looked for colors and textures that I liked, and used them to create my favorite thing - a cat!
